A library is one of the most essential tools in providing quality education. It plays an important role in the lives of underprivileged people who can’t afford books.

It attracts the poor children toward learning and helps to build an enlightened society. But unfortunately there rarely have libraries in the rural areas of Bangladesh. Keeping the enormous importance of Library Genesis Foundation has launched Project Alokito Prithibi at the very first stage of its journey. This project was started with the objective of ensuring proper education to the underprivileged people in the society and building an educated and enlightened society.

As a part of the project, efforts are being made to set up libraries in various schools of underprivileged children. We have established 2 libraries in Mirpur  so far and plan to establish them in every possible corner of Bangladesh. Through this initiative of a library, we intend to inculcate in them the sense of pride of being literate. And shall encourage them to resume studies that will enable them to escape the poverty trap.
